HeliGeeks Club Rules

?

?

1. Transmitter control for analog users (long metal aerial)

On arrival you must check to see if it is safe to use your frequency. If there are more than 3 flyers present it is mandatory that the peg board is brought into use. You must ensure at all time that you have possession of the relevant frequency peg and that it is clearly displayed before the transmitter is switched on. You must keep your aerial retracted until reaching the pilot’s area prior to take off. Don’t be a ‘peghog’ please show consideration for other users who may be waiting.

2. Pits area

The pits area must be at least 30 feet away from the flight line, even if you are the only person on the field. If there is a designated area this must be used (committee member will advise you of this)

3. Pre flight checks

Always carry out pre-flight checks prior to each flight, these include checking all moving parts on the model ie: servos, blades linkage rods and secure battery connection even checking the gyro is secure (yes there has been an incident with gyro coming off resulting in a crash)

4. Restricted Flying areas

Pilots only to fly in their flight line and not in the areas cordoned off with red tape, please stay as far away from the cars as possible. Other restrictions could be enforced on the day by committee members only, these are usually for safety purposes.

5. Recovery of Model from field

If you need to recover your model from the flying area and there are others flying, a committee member must be sought to ensure that this is done safely.

6. Cars

All cars are to be parked in the designated parking area, unless specifically authorised by the committee.

7. Children

Children must be under adult supervision at all times. This is in the interest of both the child’s safety and prevention of damage to models. The adult is accountable for the child’s actions.

8. Dogs

Sorry no dogs allowed onto the premises.

9. Litter

Do not leave any litter or debris in the area, including cigarette butts, broken props etc.

10. Membership card

You must carry your membership card with you at all times as committee members will need to regularly check who is who.

?

The rules are here to protect everyone and their property, anyone found to be in contravention of these rules may be brought before the committee for disciplinary action which could ultimately result in member being expelled from the club.
